Welcome to The “Empty Desk”

Introduction

“If a cluttered desk signs a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?” – Albert Einstein.

Interesting quote, but the opposite of cluttered is uncluttered, or tidy, not empty. May I also add that the opposite of empty is full.

What is an empty desk, in real terms?

Is an empty desk the sign of an empty mind? If so, empty of what? The answer to this question is that an empty desk is empty of clutter. Albert Einstein had a full desk, not a cluttered desk!

To use a garden analogy, “clutter” is the weeds and “full” is the garden, as you want it. If you progress from a cluttered position, you may improve for a while, but your progress will eventually fade, the garden being stifled by the “weeds”!

This website is about how to get to an empty desk in order to experience having a full desk, just like Albert Einstein, with just your own “genius” present.
